About C K G Memorial Government College Perambra
C K G Memorial Government College Perambra was established in 1975 and was inaugurated by Sri. K Karunakaran, the then Hon. Home Affairs Minister of Kerala. Initially, it functioned using the infrastructure of the Perambra High School and was affiliated to the University of Calicut, offering Pre-Degree courses in Humanities. In 1987, the college relocated to its current campus. The institution introduced its first Degree course in Commerce in 1992, followed by the first Post Graduate programme in History during the academic year 1999-2000. With the de-linking of Pre-Degree from collegiate Education, the college now operates as a Degree College under the Directorate of Higher Education, Kerala. In 2009, the curriculum was restructured into a semester system, and Degree Courses were reformed into degree programmes. The college currently offers seven degree courses and three Post Graduate courses, continuously looking forward to future developments.
