About Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Memorial Government Arts & Science College, Balussery
Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Memorial Government Arts and Science College, Balussery, established in 2013, is located at Kinalur, Balussery, Kozhikode. This institution, founded through the efforts of Sri. Purushan Kadalundy MLA, holds the distinction of being the first government arts and science college in the Balussery Constituency. Affiliated to the University of Calicut, the college provides undergraduate courses in Mathematics, Commerce, and Development Economics. Initially operating from a temporary campus at Vallanoor, the college transitioned to its new 5-acre campus at Kinalur KSIDC compound in January 2019. The campus is noted for its serene location amidst lush mountain greenery, embodying a long-held vision and aspiration of the Balussery constituent assembly. The college is also recognized as Kerala Startup Mission’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC).
