About Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology
Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology (RIT), also known as Govt. Engineering College Kottayam, was established in 1991 and is named after the late Prime Minister Sri Rajiv Gandhi. It is fully owned and run by the Government of Kerala, distinguishing itself as one of the nine such engineering colleges in the state. The institution has developed extensive infrastructure and boasts a dedicated team of teachers, establishing itself as one of the leading technical institutes in Kerala. RIT offers diverse academic programs including Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in six disciplines, Master of Technology (M.Tech), Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch), and Master of Computer Applications (MCA).
